hi, i’m chloe.

I grew up outside of Richmond, VA and moved around a lot as a teenager and young adult. After a stint in art school, I graduated from McDaniel College in 2007 with a BA in Studio Art and Art History. I then attended the Maryland Institute College of Art’s post-baccalaureate certificate program in studio art and received an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from the Mount Royal School of Art. I’m a multidisciplinary artist and designer who creates paintings, books, fiber-based works, and data visualizations. I’ve exhibited my work in over 20 states throughout the US, in Sofia, Bulgaria, in Canada, and will be included in a show at the CICA Museum in Korea in summer 2023.  As an educator, I’ve taught studio art and design courses at Anne Arundel Community College, MICA, and the University of Maine at Farmington. I’m currently an Associate Professor of Art with tenure at McDaniel College and am serving a five-year term as Art department chair.

I create multidisciplinary projects rooted in observation, place, and seasonality. I live in Westminster, MD with my family. I’m a Master Gardener in Carroll County through the University of Maryland Extension Program and enjoy volunteering as a horticultural educator. I’m a cyclist with MTBMD and lead a weekly women’s+ mountain bike ride at Hashawha Environmental Center.
